LETTER: Supports Sequim MAT clinic

While out riding my bicycle (solo) and riding past all of the S.O.S. signs in yards and fences in March, I wondered if these same people would be putting up such strong opposition if the Jamestown Tribe had proposed erecting a 50-bed ICU campus.

I would like to point out that on my ride, I passed through Railroad Bridge Park and the parking lot was full.

These people at the park were exhibiting reckless behavior that could have an extremely detrimental effect on the rest of the population, more reckless than opioid abuse because they can transmit their ‘disease’ without actually touching anyone.

Should these same people, and everyone they infect, be denied medical attention because of their recklessness?

Both sets of these people require expert help.

Both sets of people have potential survivors that come out the other side healed and ready to rejoin their families and society at large.

Both groups contain people that find themselves infected even though they did nothing except follow doctor’s orders.

Many are in the situation they are in because they took what they assumed to be reasonable risk and found out that they were wrong.

Everyone who needs help should be able to get it.

If there are people who are willing to help those in need, who are you stand in the way?
