In my job as a nurse I am lucky enough to get to spend time with newborns and infants and their siblings.
These small children who are now learning really important life lessons, like how to trust and connect with other people, will be entering kindergarten in five years.
They will be the Port Angeles graduating classes of the late 2030s.
They deserve to be educated in schools that are safe and sound, and that will accommodate the needs of their generation.
It is these children who will be young adults as I’m entering old age.
Let’s teach them by example that in our community we look out for each other.
Please vote yes on the Port Angeles School District’s capital levy and let’s support schools that we can all be proud of.
