Although I have not been a full-time resident of Port Angeles for more than 50 years, I visit often and have always been extremely proud of my hometown.
I am a 1963 graduate of Port Angeles High School. Without PA’s schools, teachers, coaches and public support, I would not have had the wonderful opportunities and experiences afforded to me.
Approaching my 75th birthday, I am well aware of the fact that nothing lasts forever and our schools are no different.
They constantly need to be updated and refreshed to meet the needs of our ever-changing world.
Growing up, my parents strongly supported school levies and we always had quality facilities.
The proposed plan by the Port Angeles School District is a good one.
As a 2020 inductee into the Port Angeles Hall Of Fame, I urge your support of the school district capital levy.
Vote yes on Feb. 11.
