LETTER: Support freedom of speech with Malkin column

Michelle Malkin is a nationally syndicated columnist who writes opinion pieces, not editorials.

An editorial is an article that expresses the opinion of the newspaper or magazine in which it is published.

For the narrow-minded who demand that the Peninsula Daily News quit publishing Malkin’s column because they don’t like or agree with her and think she is nothing but a far-right troublemaker, I have a suggestion: Don’t read her column.

Is freedom of speech granted only to those who agree with you?

As a compassionate Independent, I fully support the right of our local newspaper to serve all its readers — not a select few.
