Public service in the United States is under much scrutiny today.
Politicians and leadership are falling short of the positions they are elected to.
Across party and state lines the atmosphere of elections has taken on a new air.
People in this country are breathing in the polluted air of politics.
In our day and age, the playing field of politics resembles a masquerade.
Our officials wear the best costumes and as a voter, it is hard to see past the masks presented by candidates.
When considering the Sequim School District election for board members, I have the ease of knowing candidate Jim Stoffer personally.
I have had the joy of knowing what others might not; Jim Stoffer has no mask.
Stoffer presents himself with a heart on his sleeve and true passion for honest public service.
He doesn’t wear a facade and costume because he doesn’t need to.
Throughout my education in the Sequim School District, he has been an exceptional advocate for students — attending more sport, art and school events than any other adult I know — more than any of the teachers, principals, staff, or students for that matter.
He is not an apathetic leader who has taken on countless leadership roles for the title; when Stoffer takes on a role, it is to do the service of bettering his community.
If you want a proven student advocate in this position, please vote for Jim Stoffer.
