LETTER: Sad to see corporate boardrooms pushing liberal thought

In reply to a recent letter titled “Outside Voices,” it was stated that the NRA was once a reputable organization but now lobbies for gun manufacturing corporations.

The NRA is the oldest organization in the U.S. standing up for Second Amendment rights.

Established in 1871, it is a leader in firearm safety education and training for citizens, law enforcement and the military.

In 1975 the NRA started lobbying efforts out of necessity not for gun manufacturers, but for citizens, to secure their unalienable rights enumerated in the United States Constitution that are slowly being eroded by progressive, left-wing liberal ideologies.

The idea that the NRA lobbies for gun manufacturers appears to be a common, false misconception perpetuated to indoctrinate the ignorant, uninformed and unfamiliar to progressive anti-Second Amendment beliefs.

The letter said the huge banner by Fred’s Guns was “deriding Dick’s Sporting Goods for not selling AR-15 assault rifles.” The banner read “We sell AR-15’s because we’re not Dick’s.”

The “assault rifles” misnomer mentioned in the letter is a common fallacy seemingly coined by liberal, lame-stream media outlets to add to the AR-15 hysteria and make the most common modern sporting rifle in the country seem evil to the same ignorant, uninformed and unfamiliar audience.

It appears that corporate board rooms such as at Dick’s Sporting Goods are now being used to make politicized corporate decisions, influenced by social and lame-stream media, to further the anti-gun policies of progressive liberals.

It’s a sad day in America.
