General George S. Patton Jr. once said, “If you can’t get them to salute when they should salute and wear the clothes you tell them to wear, how are you going to get them to die for their country?”
Governor Jay R. Inslee and the pandemic police must be taking a page from the general’s playbook: “If you can’t get them to wear masks when you tell them to wear masks, how are you going to get them to obey during a future climate emergency or the imposition of the Green New Deal?”
The New England Journal of Medicine, says in regard to health care workers: “We know that wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection….The chance of catching COVID-19 from a passing interaction in a public space is therefore minimal.”
The World Health Organization’s advises “If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with COVID-19.”
According to an opinion by Richard W. Rahn in The Washington Times, based on CDC and U.S. Census data, “If you are under 65, in reasonably good health and do not have a vitamin D deficiency, you have only a tiny chance of dying from COVID-19.
“And if you are younger than 34, your chances of dying from the virus are so small as to be almost statistically undetectable.”
If the Left can make you wear a mask, the Left can transform America.
