The hypocrisy of the Washington state Republicans is now on full display.
After spending the entire summer clambering for law and order, they have the gall to trot out a candidate for governor who is is known solely for his refusal to follow the law.
What makes this particularly egregious is that the law in question — Initiative 1639, which regulates semi-automatic assualt rifles — was not some mandate forced upon him by a heavy-handed governor or some circuit court he doesn’t agree with. It was a law that was passed by the people of Washington state.
Culp swore an oath to uphold the law, not just those he approves of.
You cannot, in good conscious, vote for a man who cares nothing for the will of the people.
