LETTER: Register to vote for this important election

From Sequim

Politics, specifically politicians, have changed.

There is absolutely no respect for one another or at least that is the appearance of most of the Republicans in politics today.

At one time I was registered Independent.

To me that means voting for the most qualified as well as the one who speaks to the actions they would take to remedy the topics that were of most importance.

These past four years have changed my perspective.

I no longer consider myself an Independent.

I can’t imagine ever voting for a Republican. All I’ve seen over the last four years is a spewing of the same rhetoric I am hearing from the White House, a once-respected seat.

They throw out blanket statements, they don’t answer questions, they instead give insults to their opponents.

If they show respect for this president they obviously can’t be trusted as the president, does nothing but lie at just about everything he speaks about and has no respect for women or people of color.

To me, he is a narcissist who is in love with the idea of power.

I drew this final conclusion after listening to a candidate forum between Steve Tharinger and Brian Pruiett.

I found Pruiett to be no better than the president he is emulating.

He was condescending and didn’t answer questions but instead gave broad over-reaching statements of concerns regarding Mr. Tharinger’s record in office.

I can’t stress enough how important this upcoming election is. Please register and vote.
