I am furious that the thoughtless Extreme Sports Park owners sponsored a gathering of over 1,000 people during the COVID-19 pandemic, with no requirement for masks and safe distancing.
With a crowd of a thousand-plus unprotected individuals you can be sure at least a few of the attendees transmitted the virus to others at the event.
These people in turn will infect family, friends and casual contacts — exactly what our science-savvy health officers warn us against.
There is also no excuse for the politicians who spoke at the rally.
In doing so they disregarded the health and welfare of our local communities.
What were they thinking or did they think at all?
Did they think the potential suffering, long-term health issues and possible death of individuals are not as important as a few votes?
Most of us would not want them in positions of leadership where they would supposedly work for our well-being.
I certainly know who I am not voting for in the upcoming election: Culp, Beauvais, Pruiett, Forde, Kreiselmaier or Scarantino.
