LETTER: Reader supports Heidi Eisenhour

Heidi Eisenhour inspired us to learn about and join efforts to conserve the land, specifically habitat and farmland in Jefferson County.

As the Jefferson Land Trust’s executive director, she led the organization as they broadened their mission to include working lands.

Glendale Farm, Red Dog Farm and Finnriver Farm were just the beginning of protecting our luscious agricultural heritage.

Heidi was a big part of saving the Brown Dairy property and waiting for the best opportunity to protect it as farmland forever.

It seemed fitting that she, as regional director of the Farmland Trust, a national organization, rented the first office in the historic Brown Farmhouse.

For the first time, an organization that protected farms was actually situated on a farm.

Heidi’s love of healthy and local food, along with her long-term vision of sustainability and resiliency, give her the skills to bring the farmers to the table and to prepare for our future.

Her business acumen, collaborative spirit and leadership skills complete the resume needed to be a successful and effective county commissioner.

Vote for Heidi Eisenhour for district 2 commissioner.
