There has been a lot of back and forth about the presidential election.
Who won, who didn’t, who should concede, and so forth.
Keep these facts in mind as we discuss the election.
According to the National Conference of State Legislatures:
Nov. 3, 2020, was Election Day.
Dec. 8, 2020, is the deadline for resolving election disputes.
Dec. 14, 2020, is when electors meet and cast their ballots for president and vice president.
Dec. 23, 2020, is the deadline for receipt of those ballots by the president of the Senate, Vice President Mike Pence.
Jan. 6, 2021, is when the electoral votes are counted.
Jan. 20, 2021, is Inauguration Day.
So regardless of what The Associated Press, The New York Times or Fox News have reported, we will not know who the president-elect is for sure until Jan. 6, 2021.
