LETTER: President to blame for American disunity

An article in the Sept. 12 PDN cited Clallam County Sheriff Bill Benedict’s identification of 9/11 as a driving force for our country coming together.

He went on to say, “Now, 18 years forward, I can’t say we’re so united.”

Sheriff Benedict did not identify the driving force for our current disunity.

That driving force is President Donald Trump.

Trump’s brag of sexual assault against women in the infamous Access Hollywood tape.

Trump’s slur pinned on a U.S. senator that demeans Native Americans.

Trump’s policy of separating children from parents seeking asylum at our southern border.

Trump’s direct involvement in 10 cases of obstruction of justice outlined in the Mueller report.

Trump’s illegal distortion of a National Weather Service map modeling Hurricane Dorian with a Sharpie.

Trump’s rolling back of fresh water protections, and on and on.

We will never forget.
