LETTER: Preferential treatment

A special thanks to KPTZ for hosting a panel discussion on racial prejudice.

Also, a thank you to the Jefferson County Board of Health with their efforts to deal with rampant racism.

Because of my white privilege I am sheltered by living in Port Ludlow.

I had the advantage of a married mother and father, a Catholic education and a university degree.

My college degree enabled me to get a rewarding career.

More benefits were available to me because I was white and financially responsible.

I am a fiscal conservative because I believe in limited government.

Government should not be giving preferential treatment to anyone because of race.

I’m fired up and will buy a radio to get further informed.
