Do not be fooled by fancy websites, Clallam County District 3 voters.
Commissioner Bill Peach is a collaborative problem-solver who treats everyone with respect.
He is highly effective, competent, hardworking and merits another term.
Former commissioner Mike Doherty is not and does not.
A skilled professional forester, Bill Peach ably represents timber counties’ fiduciary and environmental interests on the state Board of Natural Resources.
Our local school districts are now receiving and keeping the timber revenue due them, after decades of that money being taken away.
I find he opposes one-size-fits-all regulatory proposals that do not fit the West End.
He informs citizens countywide about proposals that might otherwise “fly under our radar” and encourages our input.
Although he has accepted a few unsolicited donations, for the most part he is self-funding his campaign so he’s not beholden to contributors.
Bill Peach’s interest, concern and understanding of homelessness, medical access, mental illness and chemical dependencies including opioid addiction goes beyond the surface, to address root causes, recognizing the value of family-wage jobs, career education and reasonable regulations.
Bill Peach’s quiet, modest manner and his collaborative, creative problem-solving skills, are in stark contrast to his self-promoting ultra-partisan opponent.
To my personal experience, serving on the board with him in 1999, Doherty treats others, especially women, in a demeaning, dismissive manner.
Please vote to re-elect Bill Peach.
