I was peacefully eating my lunch at a local restaurant when some fellow walking behind my chair said, “I’m a sheepdog and I don’t mind going after wolves.”
OK.
The American people are not sheep. We are citizens and as such have a right to our faith or to change faiths as we see fit.
Those of us of other faiths are not “wolves” but equal citizens.
We have every right to believe in other faiths.
What makes America a free country is not the Christian faith or any other state religion.
What makes us free is our First Amendment, which guarantees our right to freedom of religion, freedom of speech and freedom of the press.
A little more respect for our Constitution, for the rights of others and for the law is apparently needed.
