Distracting memorial
I am writing with a concern about the beautiful and ever-growing memorial at the site of the young woman’s demise on Morse Creek curve on U.S. Highway 101 east of Port Angeles.
I am deeply empathetic to the great loss family and friends are suffering over this terrible tragedy.
But I find myself looking at the memorial to see what pretty thing has been added, knowing this is a dangerous stretch of road when everyone needs to be attentive to the road.
The pretty lights added so it can be seen at night I find particularly distracting.
I hope this memorial can be placed at a different location soon.
