As in many cities, we have a drug problem and homeless problem.
Unless we want a Third Avenue shoot-out as in Seattle, citizens cry, “do something,”
Well, something is being proposed in the form of the MAT (medication assisted treatment) clinic by the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe.
Then when something is being suggested a group, SOS (Save Our Sequim), raises concerns about myths regarding these MAT clinics.
If you look up history of these type of clinics you will see they are successful and they are not a detriment to the communities.
Jamestown is “doing something.”
The very thing you ask, you reject.
Give it a chance.
It may help you and/or your relatives.
