I lost faith and hope in this nation subsequent the 2016 presidential election which yielded the mentally deranged individual who presently dwells in the nation’s White House.
I had believed prior to the 2016 presidential election that this nation was better than that.
However, kudos to the kids leading the March for our Lives movement. They have given me a renewed hope and faith in this nation that with their generation there may still be a future for this nation.
I’m impressed with the intellectual maturity of those kids leading the March for our Lives movement and the spirit that God has given them.
As well as the ability God has blessed them with to eloquently convey the parameters and platform of their movement.
Those kids have certainly gotten under the skin of the conservative right-wing Nation Rifle Association members, sending many of them into a psychotic rampage because apparently they fear their love affair and love sickness they have with their AR-15s and other combat-style carbines that they obviously value more than the lives of this nation’s children may one day come to an end.
The kids obviously get it. When will the adults?
The kids realize that the more society is saturated with assault-style weapons of war, the more likely they are to wind up in the hands of a mentally deranged mass shooter.
In the vast majority of mass shootings in this nation, the AR-15 is chosen as their drug of choice (“Latest mass shootings all have AR-15 in common,” Seattle Times, Feb. 15).
