Donald Trump and others say that Medicare for All is socialism and that it will destroy our country.
Actually, it is not any more than is the Medicare we old people currently enjoy.
It is a government insurance, not government health care.
We would still have our private doctors, hospitals, etc.
We also are told we cannot afford Medicare for All.
Amazing that we, the richest country on the Earth, cannot afford it when all the other developed nations manage to do so.
We rank lower in life expectancy, higher in infant mortality and spend more per person than those countries.
In spite of the majority of people having private insurance, many still are forced to claim bankruptcy. Because of medical debt, millions must ration their medicines due to their exorbitant prices or delay recommended medical tests or treatments because of cost.
I support Elizabeth Warren who would work to ensure that all Americans have access to affordable health care through Medicare for All, to rein in medical costs and to lower prescription prices.
She believes capitalism must be regulated so as to work for all of us, not just the super rich.
