Congress shirks a grave responsibility in ignoring the threat of U.S. war with Iran.
It could involve Russia and China, unimaginable death and destruction, attacks on U.S. targets worldwide and stalemate.
The U.S. needlessly restarted the Cold War because of Russian aggression that paled by comparison with U.S. aggression in the Middle East.
Then President Donald Trump recklessly broke the Iran nuclear agreement and started a trade war with China.
Russia did interfere in U.S. elections; however, the U.S. is unrivaled in interfering in the elections of other nations.
Furthermore, Israel interferes in U.S. political affairs more than any other foreign nation.
U.S. leadership and the media are silent on Israel’s interference in U.S. affairs fearing the inevitable label of anti-Semitism.
In fact, the Israel lobby now promotes U.S. legislation criminalizing U.S. free speech critical of Israel.
Trump has adopted Israel’s foreign policy and Palestinian agenda.
Certainly he was influenced by the enormous election finance support he receives from the Israel lobby.
Trump has imposed brutal U.S. sanctions on Iran to provoke war.
Netanyahu is already starting the war by bombing alleged Iranian assets in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon.
Unfortunately, with our nation at peril, U.S. leadership lacks the moral courage to prevent being dragged into war by Israel.
The House must expedite articles of impeachment for the Senate to remove Trump immediately if he starts or participates in any illegal war.
The U.S. must inform Israel that if it starts a war with Iran, it is on its own.
