I am a proud Gold Star Mother whose son gave his life for his country.
I have been on a journey; learning to live fully, find purpose and create a place of healing for Gold Star Families.
2020 is a different journey bringing challenges to all, both military and civilian.
Personal challenges often bring out the best of humankind and bring families, neighbors, friends and larger communities together throughout the country.
Captain Joseph House Foundation’s mission to “Honor our Fallen through caring for those left behind” remains strong because of people like you who believe in remembering the sacrifices made for our freedom and the families who live with their losses.
Wherever this journey takes us we will be traveling together.
To you, our Gold Star families; your heroes will be honored and you will be remembered for your sacrifices. When Captain Joseph House is complete and families can safely gather together post COVID; they have an opportunity to participate in a family-to-family respite in a tranquil peaceful environment where new friendships can take root and strength drawn from a common experience, a time together to look toward the future and honor the fallen by living the life we have been given through our losses.
Freedom is not free and our men and women of the military paid their full measure with their lives for ours.
Your heroes will be honored and remembered for their selfless service of leadership, commitment, skills, talents and bravery.
