Biden, Harris
Whether unemployed, a service worker, laborer, small business owner, corporate officer, or billionaire, we each have one equal vote counted in our elections.
When you vote, you acknowledge this power.
Over 100,000,000 eligible voters didn’t cast their ballots in the catastrophic 2016 presidential election.
We’re driven away from politics because of apathy, alienation, cynicism and disgust.
Most of us won’t be politicians, choosing other work.
We develop skills, expertise and are busy.
We may not know about a politician’s daily work life, how our government functions locally, statewide, or nationally.
Issues can seem too complex or irrelevant.
We rely on politicians to do their jobs effectively, as we do ours.
If they become arrogant, dishonest or corrupt, we are betrayed by their abuse of public office.
Although sometimes exasperated with government officials, as they too are imperfect people, we have a good system, which strives for the rule of law and to serve us.
Government always needs public oversight.
Fortunately, we have a democratic system, with voting a clear way to direct it for the well-being of all citizens.
Because of the divisive, hostile Trump administration these past three years, we’ve emotionally survived by plugging our ears and chanting “la-la-la-la.”
Now it’s time to vote to promote fairness, decency; to protect and care about one another, our natural and human world.
Use your private right to vote loudly for Joe Biden, president, and Kamala Harris, vice president.
Mail it early.
