Legend is, singing the national anthem became an important part of sporting events in 1918 at the World Series.
Apparently starting in 2011, the National Football League has been collecting millions of dollars from our government for their players to stand during the national anthem, according to news reports.
In other words, taxpayer money has been paying for disrespect to America and our taxpaying citizens, by many of these players who refuse to stand in respect and as a gesture of thanks.
It’s time to pull in wasteful funds that could go for better use, balancing our national debt in our government.
These players are paid millions of dollars to toss a ball around while our military people have to skimp from paycheck to paycheck and who are putting their lives on the line, protecting our country and the ball-tossing game players.
Is it time to turn the wheel of fortune around and honor our real heroes?
Because history is no longer taught in class, more disrespect for our country, our military and law enforcement is being noticed.
The biggest whiners are in for “on the spot” attitude adjustments if our country goes to war.
Losing respect for our national anthem and our flag has consequences.
The big ‘ole boys on the football field suddenly look small and worthless with mouths bigger than their brains.
Make America great again.
