LETTER: Democrats and socialism bigger danger than Republicans

A writer to Peninsula Voices “Under attack” (PDN, Jan. 26) errantly claims the Trump-GOP government is a danger to our democracy, Constitution and innumerable other items.

His accusation of Putin’s favoritism towards Republicans in the recent election is a fallacy for the foolish.

Putin made huge gains during Democrat foreign policies in the Obama administration.

He occupied Crimea, invaded Eastern Ukraine and now has his foot in Syria. Putin would’ve been an idiot to prefer a Trump presidency.

Mueller’s special counsel will soon find no collusion between Russia and Republicans on the recent election.

The writer should be concerned about the collusion of the Democrats with the IRS in the interference with the 2012 election.

Eighteen months after the election, on May 10, 2013, the IRS admitted their “absolutely inappropriate” actions when it denied tax-exempt status to Republican fundraising organizations.

Here’s the danger from the Democratic Party.

They always have that socialist dogma hanging from their belt.

Were it up to the Democrats, conservatives and Republicans would be relegated to a minor and ineffective party, making America a one-party socialist government.

Many Americans know that one-party socialist governments are highly dangerous to their own people.

Shockingly, in the 20th century, socialism killed more people than both world wars combined.

Stalin killed as many as 40 million, either by starvation or murder.

Mao Zedong killed 60 million by starvation and murder.

World War I killed 18 million and World War II killed 60 million.

American voters, be very careful.

Len Grim,
