It will be interesting to learn if Port Townsend city residents will be in favor of allowing the Navy to train in their area, especially areas once used by our military to protect the Peninsula.
After all, Port Townsend has announced it is a “welcoming city.”
Hopefully, this means welcoming to our own people, who can serve the area in more ways than one.
Port Townsend, having announced it is a “welcoming city” by protecting illegal aliens, seems to have no fear of newcomers without proper ID documents.
Word gets around, and tourism has a way of avoiding such areas.
Port Townsend businesses would be wise to allow our Navy to train in their area and support them.
Remember, these people can actually pay for services offered.
If it is not allowed, I hope the town and area realize a great service is being denied to our entire Peninsula.
Everyone living on the West Coast should remember we have a couple of countries who may be a threat to our safety at this time.
Our military people are doing their best to protect us.
We in turn should welcome and allow them to do their jobs and be thankful for them.
