I am grateful to the writer of the letter “Against Masks” PDN, Aug. 23 for reminding us all to carefully put on our masks and be sure to wash after use.
He also reminds us to wash our hands, avoid touching our faces, physically distance and stay home when sick.
I am sure it was an oversight not to mention hand sanitizer which most of us rely on in cars and stores since we don’t have access to handwashing facilities.
I am afraid he and I depart when he uses his admonitions as a reason not to wear a mask which is much like saying we should remove stop signs because not everyone fully stops at stop signs.
Alas, we must also disagree that wearing masks has no role in prevention of COVID because it’s increased.
He must have missed the reports that cases are the result of parties in which people were crowded together and, yup, not always masked.
