A breakdown in public education will destroy the country

This coming fall many people are fearful of the virus returning with a vengeance.

We will be fearful of the coming election.

We should be truly and greatly fearful that our education system will collapse under the oppressive weight of lack of money and lack of staff.

There is a prediction of a reduction of over 400,000 education staff nationwide and a double digit reduction locally of educational staff.

How are we going to teach effectively when current staffing procedures are being established for students to attend school part time and learn the rest of the time at home.

We already know that does not work.

Add to the mix over 400,000 less staff at schools and you can see total failure of our educational system.

We need to put education at the top of our personal and monetary priorities.

If we don’t it won’t matter who we want to lead this country because there will be no country to lead.
