Saturday at 8:46 a.m., East Jefferson Fire & Rescue and Port Townsend Police Department crew members bowed their heads for one minute of silence. A brief ceremony outside the EJFR station at Lawrence and Harrison streets honored the first responders who served at the sites attacked on Sept. 11, 2001.
