BEAVER — Lonnie Archibald will sign copies of his new book in Sequim and present lectures about it in Forks.
The book, “Let’s Go Truckin’, ” has stories and pictures of local truckers and trucks as well as the mills and highways of the Olympic Peninsula.
Archibald will sign copies of his new book from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Mariner Café, 609 W. Washington St., in Sequim.
He will speak at the West End Historical Society meeting from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at the Forks Congregational Church, 280 S. Spartan Ave.
The following day — Wednesday, Dec. 19 — Archibald will speak about his book to the Forks Chamber of Commerce luncheon audience from noon to 1 p.m. at Blakeslee’s Bar & Grill, 1222 S. Forks Ave.
Archibald has written two other books on the subject of local truckers and trucks. This is his fifth book about the Olympic Peninsula.
Archibald is a freelance photographer living in Beaver whose work has been published in the Peninsula Daily News and Forks Forum.
“Let’s Go Truckin’ ” is available at a number of local businesses including Seven Cedars Casino in Blyn, Sequim Museum & Arts Center, Forage Gifts and Northwest Treasures in Sequim; Jim’s Pharmacy, Odyssey Bookshop and Port Book and News in Port Angeles; the Joyce General Store in Joyce; Sunsets West Co-op in Clallam Bay and the Makah Museum in Neah Bay.
In the West End, Archibald’s books are available at Three Rivers Resort, Forks Outfitters, Chinook Pharmacy, Jerry’s Small Engines and Leppell’s Flowers and Gifts.
