SEQUIM — The Boys &Girls Clubs of the Olympic Peninsula will host its annual gala, dinner and auction this Saturday.
The gala, which has the theme of “We Are the Champions,” will be from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Sequim unit of the club at 400 W. Fir St.
Tickets for the gala, the clubs’ major annual fundraiser, are $125 per person.
Silent and live auctions are planned along with a plated dinner and entertainment.
Proceeds are expected to fund close to 20 percent of the operating budget for both the Sequim and Port Angeles units.
The aim is to raise $295,000.
The combined number of children served by the two units is more than 350 children per day, according to the clubs’ website at www.bgc-op.org.
