Virtual reality, quilting and a movie on tap on Monday

Virtual reality, quilting and ‘Dawnland’ are among Monday’s activities on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Virtual reality

PORT ANGELES— A virtual reality session is set for 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.

The session is at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

Since virtual reality (VR) has potential safety concerns, participants must be 13 years or older.

Adult participants must sign a release waiver, and each participant between 13 and 17 must have a parent sign a release waiver.

Waiver forms are available to pick up in advance at the library or at www.nols.org/virtual-reality.

SEQUIM

Dance lessons

SEQUIM — The Strait Wheelers Square Dance Club will offer a weekly beginning square dance review at 6 p.m. Monday.

The classes will be in Shipley Center, 921 E. Hammond St.

Lessons will be held weekly through the end of February, but will close to new students after Sept. 23.

Classes cost $5 per person per week, $4 for club members.

CHIMACUM

Quilters to meet

CHIMACUM — The Cabin Fever Quilters will meet at 10 a.m. Monday.

The group meets weekly at Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road.

The public is invited to the free meetings.

CHIMACUM — The Planet Earth Academy of Creative Expression Book Club will discuss “Trinity Sight” by Jennifer Givhan from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Monday.

Meaningful movies

PORT TOWNSEND — Meaningful Movies will screen “Dawnland” at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The the film will be presented in the sanctuary at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave.

The 2018 documentary follows the truth and reconciliation commissioners to contemporary Wabanaki communities in Maine to witness moments of truth-telling and healing.
