PORT TOWNSEND — The Victorian Heritage Festival returns to downtown Port Townsend this weekend.
The annual festival features presentations, walking tours, a fashion show and a contra dance.
Tickets are on sale online through noon Thursday; remaining tickets will be sold, for cash only, at the Festival Headquarters in the Cotton Building, 607 Water St.
Many of the events at this year’s festival are already sold out so attendees should visit www.porttownsendvictorianfestival.org to check availability.
Attendees should be aware of online ticket scams. Festival organizers said they will not accept resold tickets.
Costume rentals from Lakewood Costumes are available in the Cotton Building from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The Jefferson County Historical Society will open the Rothschild House, 418 Taylor St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Home and Hearth exhibits are on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday at Brigid’s Loft, upstairs at the Good Templars Hall, 280 Quincy St., with a $5 suggested donation.
The Fashion Show is at 3 p.m. Saturday in the American Legion Hall, 209 Monroe St. Tickets are $15 per person.
The Water Street Promenade following the Fashion Show is free to all.
The Legion Hall also will host a contra dance at 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $15 per person.
Some presentations that may still have tickets available include “Rumford Fireplaces” at 10:45 a.m. Saturday, “History of the Adams-Pragge House” at 11:30 Saturday, “Herbert Foote Beecher Story” at 10 a.m. Sunday and “Pteridomania — Victorian Obsession with Ferns” at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
These presentations are all at the Pope Marine Building, 530 Water St.
