PORT TOWNSEND — Artists will sell handmade artwork at the 45th annual Crafts by the Dock Fair during the Wooden Boat Festival.
The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday on Madison Street in down- town Port Townsend by City Hall and the City Civic Plaza, one block from the Wooden Boat Festival.
The fair is the Port Townsend Arts Guild’s largest fundraiser.
The guild — which has been a self-supporting nonprofit arts organization for more than 45 years — uses proceeds to support local student arts scholarships and other arts-related cultural events.
Artists from all over the Pacific Northwest as well as California, Colorado, Florida and Idaho will sell their work in a range of prices.
Arts and crafts will include maritime paintings, beaded jewelry, blown glass, wooden wares, photography, felted clothing, wooden flutes, children’s clothing and various types of pottery.
There will be copper salmon wall pieces by Walter Massey, silver and gold with gemstones from Solarwind Studios, enamel work jewelry by Michele Raney, etched glass by Jerry Perrett, watercolors by Hung Pham, raku tile murals by Jack Ferrell, hand-forged steel sculptures by Gunter Reimnitz, hand-forged knives by Jim Stewart, felted accessories by Bag Ladies, handwoven and hand-knitted clothing by Suzanne de la Torre, lamp-worked beads by Michael Barley, and wooden furniture by James Cole, Fernando Flecha and Olaf Heintz.
The guild donates up to $2,000 annually to qualified college-bound students of the arts, organizers said.
