Steampunk, a cappella music, a Kitty City and car shows are on tap for the North Olympic Peninsula this weekend.
• Brass Screw Consortium, a three-day steampunk event, begins today in Port Townsend.
Live music, a fashion show, a bazaar, an exhibition of steampunk art and inventions and a treasure hunt, among other offerings, will be held in various venues.

• Wild Rose Chorale of Port Townsend will mark its 30th anniversary singing a cappella with a pair of in-person concerts.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. tonight and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Grace Lutheran Church, 1120 Walker St., in Port Townsend.
Admission will be a $20 suggested donation at the door.
• The McKay Kitty City Campus will be open for tours from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday after a ribbon is cut at 10:30 a.m.
The Olympic Peninsula Humane Society’s new shelter for cats is at 91 S. Boyce St., in Sequim.

• Port Angeles Community Players will present Thornton Wilder’s “The Skin of Our Teeth” tonight and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Playhouse theater at 1235 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
The revival of the American classic marks the 50th birthday of the Playhouse theater building.
Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students.

• Digging Deeper lecture at the Woodcock Demonstration Garden, 2711 Woodcock Road in Sequim, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
Jeanette Stehr-Green will present “Growing Raspberries and Blackberries in the Home Garden.”
All attendees are asked to wear masks and maintain physical distances, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
Additionally, master gardeners will be in the demonstration garden from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to answer gardening questions on any topic.

• Olympic Peninsula Alpaca Llama Rescue will conduct its fourth alpaca and llama shearing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. until complete on Sunday. The annual shearing is at the rescue’s farm, 669 Lee’s Creek Road in Port Angeles.
• Sequim Acrobatics will present “Through the Looking Glass” at 7 p.m. tonight and again at 5 p.m. Saturday.
Both performances are in the auditorium at Sequim High School, 601 N. Sequim Ave.
The choreographed acrobatic performances are inspired by Lewis Carroll’s “Alice in Wonderland.”
Tickets are available at the door for $15 each, $10 for children.

• The Port Townsend Rakers will host a car show at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Field, 550 Washington St.
Auto registration, at $20 per car, is from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.; a maximum of 200 cars will be registered. Admission is $5; proceeds support the scholarship fund.
Awards will be presented at 3 p.m.

• Peninsula Dream Machines will host Hot Rods and Hot Dogs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot at 651 W. Washington St., in Sequim. All proceeds will benefit the Port Angeles and Sequim food banks.
