A variety of entertainment is planned this weekend on the North Olympic Peninsula.
• First Friday Art Walk in Sequim will highlight a variety of venues open until 8 p.m.
First Friday Art Walk Sequim is a free, self-guided tour of local art venues in Sequim from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. the first Friday of every month. Visit SequimArtWalk.com to download and print a map and find special events.
• Sequim Community Christmas Chorus will perform tonight, Saturday and Sunday at Sequim Seventh-day Adventist Church, 30 Sanford Lane.
Performances are set for 7 tonight and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is by donation. Offered in advance, tickets also will be available at the door until organizers run out of available seats.
The concerts include more than a dozen seasonal songs, some of them designed for soloists, some medleys and others that call for audience participation.
• World AIDS Day art reception, hosted by the North Olympic Library System, will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.
Attendees will be able to view live performances and view artwork by regional artists living with or affected by HIV/AIDS, impacted by the journey or loss of a loved one and others contributing to the conversation.

The Peninsula Queer Xhoir will perform along with a reading that gives the history of the AIDS Memorial Quilt and audio excerpts from interviews of area residents impacted by HIV/AIDS. Jaiden Dokken, Clallam County poet laureate, will read two poems by Pacific Northwest poets. Kitsap Public Health will provide information on HIV/AIDS healthcare and services in Clallam County.
The exhibit will be on display through Feb. 29.
• Contra dance with caller Laura Me Smith, will be at 7 tonight.
The dance is in Upper Room Hall, 138 W. Washington St. Admission is by donation.
Music will be provided by Contraband, featuring Will Jevne and Chandra Johnson, on fiddles, and David Rivers and Dave Bartley, on rhythm.
• Concerts in the Woods on Saturday will be the final concert of the year. It will feature Mary Fahl, formerly of the October Project.
Fahl will sing from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road Coyle. Admission is by donation only, suggested to be $20.
The 2024 Concerts in the Woods series will begin at the end of January.
• Crossword contest hosted by the North Olympic Library System will be at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The contest is at the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St.

• Backyard Birding series will present Christie Lassen and Jim Ullrich’s “Understanding Birding Optics” at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The presentation is in Rainshadow Hall at the Dungeness River Nature Center, 1943 W. Hendrickson Road.
The presentation is part of the Backyard Birding series sponsored by the Olympic Peninsula Audubon Society.
The suggested donation is $5 per person.

• Boating safety clinic, hosted by America’s Boating Club of the North Olympic Peninsula, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday.
“Chart Plotting on the Cheap” will be at the Port Angeles Yacht Club, 1305 Marine Drive. Admission is free.
• Keltoi, a Celtic band, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Upper Room Hall, 138 W. Washington St. in Sequim.
The band performs Scottish and Irish dance music.
Admission is $20 per person. Children 12 and younger are admitted free.
• Reception for Peninsula Art Friends is set at The Gallery at Fifth Avenue, 500 W. Hendrickson Road, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The exhibit will be on display throughout December.
• Carla and Friends will perform a holiday concert from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Vintage, 725 Water St., Port Townsend. No cover charge.
• Queens & Aces will perform for a holiday dance from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall, 209 Monroe St., Port Townsend. Admission is $5.
• Jeff Plankenhorn will perform at The Palindrome at Eaglemount Cidery in Port Townsend at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The songwriter is a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist who designed his own signature lap-steel “The Plank” that gained him an Austin Music Award in 2017.

• Port Townsend Symphony Orchestra will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Chimacum High School auditorium, 91 West Valley Road.
In addition to the concert, there will be an open dress rehearsal at 7 p.m. tonight.
The concert is free; donations are welcome.
The orchestra will perform, under the direction of Maestro Tigran Arakelyan, Carl Reineke’s Flute Concerto, Leonard Bernstein’s Overture to Candide and the Northwest Premiere of Adrienne Albert’s Courage, along with such seasonally inspired pieces as The Winterlust Polka by Joseph Strauss, the Christmas Waltz by Tchaikovsky, Winter Night (Sleigh Ride) by Frederick Delius and an encore performance of Holiday Hoopla by the PTSO percussion section.
• Marine debris training, is offered for free from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Feiro Marine Life Center, 315 N. Lincoln St., Port Angeles.
Coastal Observation & Seabird Survey Team’s Marine Debris program participants survey local beaches to collect data on the location and characteristics of debris.
No prior experience is necessary.
