PORT ANGELES — Comedian Andy Hendrickson, touring in support of his most recent comedy album, “Underachiever,” will perform a stand up routine tonight at Peninsula College.

The comedy show is hosted and underwritten by the Peninsula College Associated Student Council and is open to the public.

Hendrickson will perform at 7 p.m. at the Peninsula College Pirate Union Building, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Admission is free to students and by donation for guests, according to a news release.

The show will feature adult content and is not recommended for children.

“I am very excited for Andy Hendrickson to come on our campus this year for our comedy show,” said Ellie Small, Associated Student Council vice president for programming.

“I looked through a variety of different comedians and he stood out to me right away.

“He has appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman, TBS, Raw Dog Comedy, CBS and the Comedy Arts Festival, so it’s an honor to have him on our campus this year.

“It’s going to be an awesome show and I am very excited to see everyone come out for a good night of pure entertainment and laughter.”

A comedian, writer and actor who built his career in New York City, Hendrickson has been all over late night television, with appearances on the “Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson.”

Hendrickson has toured all over the world, including Canada, England, the Netherlands, Ireland and France.

In 2011, he performed for U.S. troops in Afghanistan on Outback’s Feeding Freedom Tour.

His radio appearances include the “Bob and Tom Morning Show,” “Blue Collar Comedy” and “National Lampoon Radio.”

His current comedy tour includes October stops in Paris, North Carolina and Washington, including the Tacoma Comedy Club, Whitman College and Peninsula College.
