PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Bay Kinetic Sculpture Race will host the 19th Strange Brewfest from 5 p.m. to midnight Friday and from 1 p.m. to midnight Saturday.
The annual celebration of Pacific Northwest breweries will be at the American Legion’s Marvin G. Shields Memorial Post 26, 209 Monroe St., Port Townsend.
Tickets are $30 for a day pass, $50 for both days, and include a souvenir tasting glass and five tasting tokens. They are available at www.strangebrewfestpt.com/tickets.
A $25 weekend pass without the glass or tokens is available for designated drivers.
The festival features Port Townsend breweries Social Fabric Brewing, Eaglemount Cidery, Port Townsend Brewery and Propolis Brewing and Port Angeles breweries Barhop Brewing and Mighty Pine Brewing.
Other regional breweries at the festival include Bushel and Barrel Cidery, Poulsbo; Crane’s Castle Brewing, Bremerton; Farmstrong Brewing, Mount Vernon; Ghostfish Brewing, Seattle; Hood Canal Brewing; Kingston; Jellyfish Brewing Company, Seattle’s Georgetown neighborhood; Outlander Brewery, Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood; Republic of Cider, Seattle; Ridgeline Brewing, Bremerton; St. Lo Cidery, Bainbridge Island; Scuttlebutt Brewing, Everett; Sisters Cider House, Bainbridge Island; Slippery Pig Brewery, Poulsbo; Talking Cedar Brewing, Rochester; and Western Red Brewing, Poulsbo.
New this year, Patrick Forrestal, a glassblower from Port Townsend Glassworks, will demonstrate his craft live during the festival.
Friday’s music schedule includes ELK at 5 p.m. and Twig Flicker at 8 p.m.
Mars Garden will kick off the music at 1 p.m. Saturday, followed by The Shift at 3:30 p.m., the Cosmiphonics at 6 p.m., and LoWire will close out the festival starting at 9 p.m.
