Townsend Bay Ringers will present Ring Around the World

PORT TOWNSEND — The Townsend Bay Ringers will return at 7 p.m. Thursday for their fifth appearance in the Trinity United Methodist Church Candlelight Series.

The local musicians will provide a whirlwind handbell journey around the world directed by Judy Schussler at the church at 609 Taylor St. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the concert, Ring Around the World.

A lively Russian dance will include several unique bell techniques.

Sounds of the Far East will be reflected in two Japanese melodies. The journey will end in South America with a popular Brazilian folk hymn.
