Timber sports, other events offered at Fall Fest

Zombie Run, Jeep rock crawling, lawnmower demo derby and more

PORT ANGELES — An Extreme Timber Sports Show, Zombie Run and Lawnmower Demo Derby are on tap this weekend during the inaugural Fall Fest at the Extreme Sports Park this weekend.

Although entrance is free, parking costs $10 for the events today, Saturday and Sunday at the Extreme Sports Park, 2917 W. Edgewood Drive, and tokens costing $3 for one or $50 for 20 are needed for participation in many of the activities.

The festival runs from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Every day during the weekend, there will be ax throwing, a pumpkin patch, hay rides, a petting zoo, bounce house, face-painting, a hay maze, a makers’ market, wood-carving demonstrations, food and drink and a beer and wine garden called the Lumberjack Lounge, a 6,000-square-foot space serving beer, wine and cider.

Today

• 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. — Live music by Nic Allen.

Saturday

• Noon to 4 p.m. — Extreme Timber Show.

• 1 p.m. — Zombie Fun Run.

• 1:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. — Borderline Western Line Dancing.

• 6 p.m. — Live music by Rotgut Riot and Jimmy Brunch.

Sunday

• 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. — Jeep Rock Crawling Demonstration.

• 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Lawnmower Demo Derby.

Saturday’s logging show will feature 25 competitors from around the nation and Canada, some of whom hold national and world titles for Stihl Timbersports.

On Halloween, Fall Fest will host a Trick-or-Treat Trail from noon to 6 p.m.
