Tidepools magazine history topic of presentation

PORT ANGELES — The past, present, and future of Peninsula College’s award-winning publication, Tidepools magazine, will be discussed at Thursday’s Studium Generale presentation.

The free program will be at 12:30 p.m. The Zoom link is https://pencol-edu.zoom.us/j/89616075652. The meeting ID is 896 1607 5652.

A panel of former and current faculty advisors and student editors will talk about their contributions to the magazine and how their involvement impacted them personally and professionally.

The audience will be given a sneak peak of this year’s edition with selected contributors sharing their work and inspiration.

The program will wrap up with talk about the future of the magazine and how anyone can get involved in promoting the arts.

For almost 60 years, Tidepools has promoted the arts on the Olympic Peninsula by publishing local writers and artists of all ages in an annual, student-run magazine.

What originated as a literary magazine evolved to include visual arts and even music, while today it continues to adapt to current trends in publishing and technology.
