Tickets on sale for Port Angeles Symphony’s Bed & Breakfast Tour

PORT ANGELES — Bald eagles, wild trillium and views of the Strait of Juan de Fuca await participants in the Port Angeles Symphony’s Bed &Breakfast Tour from noon to 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

A maximum of 175 tickets will be sold for the benefit tour. So Krys Gordon, a member of the Port Angeles Symphony Guild who is organizing the tour, encouraged people to buy them in advance.

Tickets are $25 per person. To purchase tickets, phone the symphony office at 360-457-5579 or the Port Angeles Symphony Guild’s Gordon at 360-681-4308.

Ticket-holders will find treats and music at each of the seven stops on the tour:

• Colette’s, 339 Finn Hall Road, Port Angeles.

• Domaine Madeleine, 146 Wildflower Lane, Port Angeles.

• Dungeness Barnhouse, 42 Marine Drive, Sequim.

• Eden by the Sea, 1027 Finn Hall Road, Port Angeles.

• The George Washington Inn, 939 Finn Hall Road, Port Angeles.

• Greenhouse Inn by the Bay, 630 Marine Drive, Sequim.

• Sea Cliff Gardens, 397 Monterra Drive, Port Angeles.

A pair of bald eagles frequents the tall conifers at Domaine Madeleine, said innkeeper Stephen Fofanhoff.

At Sea Cliff Gardens just down the road, trillium grows wild alongside cultivated flowers, which proprietor Bill Sigil said are just awakening for spring.

The tour’s seven B&Bs, many of which sit on the northern edge of the Olympic Peninsula, also enjoy unobstructed views of the strait and Vancouver Island.

Besides taking in the surroundings, visitors on the tour will have an opportunity to see rooms such as Marie Antoinette’s Boudoir at Sea Cliff Gardens, the Sol Duc Falls Cottage at Domaine Madeleine and the Genteel Room at Eden by the Sea.

Because the inns don’t have huge parking lots, carpooling is encouraged during the afternoon tour.

Proceeds from the tour will benefit the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra, which offers 13 concerts per season, including the one with guest artist Anna Petrova, a pianist from Bulgaria, on April 22.

For information about the symphony and its events, and to purchase B&B tour tickets, phone the symphony office at 360-457-5579 or the Port Angeles Symphony Guild’s Gordon at 360-681-4308.

Laura and Bill Sigil’s view at Sea Cliff Gardens will be part of the Port Angeles Symphony’s Bed & Breakfast Tour on Saturday.
