Tickets on sale for Juan de Fuca Festival fundraiser

PORT ANGELES — Tickets are on sale now for the Juan de Fuca Festival’s annual fundraiser on Saturday, Jan. 21.

The show at the Vern Burton Community Center, 308 E. Fourth St., will feature an auction of painted stringed instruments and a performance by the Portland Ore., band and performance group MarchFourth as well as food, beer and wine and dancing.

Ticket are available now at www.jffa.org/ or at Port Book and News in Port Angeles or Joyful Noise Music in Sequim. They also will be available at the door.

Proceeds go to the Juan de Fuca Foundation for the Arts.

A preview of the stringed instrument art can be seen on the Juan de Fuca Festival’s website.

The night of the show, doors and the auction will open at 5 p.m. The band will begin its performance at 6:30 p.m.

MarchFourth is made up of 20 musicians, dancers and artisans who travel the world year-round, “taking audience members of all ages from all walks of life, on a joy-inducing, foot-stomping, booty-shaking, soul-stirring journey that defies categorization,” according to the band’s website, http://www.march fourthband.com/.

Along with music, the band offers costumes, stilt walkers, hoopers and Vaudeville-style dancers.
