PORT TOWNSEND — Tickets are available now for an Olympic Music Festival concert in Seattle on March 31.
The Olympic Music Festival (OMF) will present its first public concert in Seattle’s Benaroya Hall, 200 University St. The concert will feature world-renowned violinist Ray Chen and pianist Julio Elizalde.
Audience members will have an opportunity to meet the two artists following their performance, which will begin at 2 p.m.

“This concert in Seattle will be a milestone for our organization,” said Elizalde, who has served as artistic director of the OMF since 2014.
Chen and Elizalde have performed together as duo partners internationally for seven seasons. The duo will perform works by Beethoven, Saint-Saëns, Stravinsky, and will announce other works from the stage.
“I’ve had the pleasure of performing at the OMF for the past five years and it is one of my favorite places to make music,” Chen said.
“I’m very excited to participate in this special event — not only to help fundraise for the festival’s upcoming season but also to bring attention to what an important role this organization plays in the local arts community.”
Chen is the winner of the 2009 Queen Elisabeth Music Competition in Belgium and performs on the historic 1715 “Joachim” Stradivarius violin.
“We are so fortunate to have a violinist as famous as Ray willing to come to Seattle to help support the festival’s mission and I am thrilled that we will have a chance to share what we do on the Olympic Peninsula in downtown Seattle,” Elizalde said.
Proceeds from the performance will benefit the OMF’s 2018 summer season, which takes place July 14-15 and Aug. 11 to Sept. 9 at Fort Worden State Park.
