Three days of fun set in Clallam Bay-Sekiu

CLALLAM BAY-SEKIU — Clallam Bay-Sekiu Fun Days begin today with three days of activities, including a public fireworks show at 10 p.m. Saturday.

The 40th anniversary of the celebration, always held the weekend after the Fourth of July, will feature a community potluck and street dance today, a grand parade and agate and seaglass hunt on Saturday and beach cleanup and cornhole tournament on Sunday.

Here is the schedule:

Today

• Art show — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sekiu Community Center, upstairs.

• Photo contest — Clallam Bay Visitors Center.

• Clallam Bay Library book sale — 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Street fair — Noon to 7 p.m., Clallam Bay Bus Barn.

• Community potluck — 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Clallam Bay Bus Barn.

• Scavenger hunt — 4 p.m., start at Clallam Bay Bus Barn.

• Kids scavenger hunt — 4 p.m., start at Clallam Bay Bus Barn.

• Trivia Night 7:30 p.m., Sekiu Community Center, downstairs.

• Street Dance — 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Clallam Bay County Park.

Saturday

• Street Fair — 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Clallam Bay Bus Barn.

• Photo Contest — Clallam Bay Visitors Center.

• Poker Ride — 9 a.m., with 8:30 a.m. signup, meet at Clallam Bay School sign.

• Grand Parade — 11 a.m., start at Weel Road.

• Borderline dance team performance — Noon, Clallam Bay School parking lot.

• Live auction after parade — Clallam Bay Bus Barn.

• Agate and seaglass hunt — 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., register at house across from the school.

• Free kids games — 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Clallam Bay School.

• Art show — Noon to 6 p.m., Sekiu Community Center, upstairs.

• “Old Clallam Bay” with photos and stories by Karolyn Burdick — 7:30 p.m., Sekiu Community Center, downstairs.

• Quilt open house — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sekiu Community Center, downstairs.

• Live music — Downtown Clallam Bay.

• Library Book sale — 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

• Fireworks — 10 p.m., dedicated to Donalynn and Arlen Oslon, launched from Sekiu.

Sunday

• Beach cleanup — 7 a.m. start, bags available across from the school.

• Art show — 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sekiu Community Center, upstairs.

• Fun Run —9 a.m. with signup at 8 a.m., meet at the Fire Hall.

• Color Run — Following Fun Run, meet at Clallam Bay Inn.

• Cribbage tournament — 4 p.m., Breakwater Restaurant.

• Photo contest — Clallam Bay Visitors Center.

• Agate and seaglass hunt — 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., register at house across from the school.

• Cornhole tournament — 11 a.m. start, Clallam Bay High School Big Gym.
