Theme set for Girls’ Night Out in Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — The theme for this year’s Girls’ Night Out is “Reach for the Stars,” Port Townsend Main Street has announced.

Port Townsend stores will host special events, in-store promotions and refreshments from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the 17th annual Girls’ Night Out on Oct. 3.

The evening will end with a wrap-up Party at 8 p.m. at the Cotton Building, 607 Water St. Admission of $10 will include refreshments.

Goodie bags will be available Oct. 3 at the Cotton Building for $25 each while supplies last.

The bags include socks, scarves and treats. Among the donors to the goodie bags are The Clothes Horse, About Time Clothing, Expressions, Tickled Pink Retail, Elevated Ice Cream & Candy Co., Aldrich’s Market, 1851 and World’s End. The goodie bags are popular and sold out last year, Port Townsend Main Street said in a press release.

Proceeds from Girls’ Night Out goodie bags sales benefit the Port Townsend Main Street Program, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and Jefferson Healthcare Foundation to help provide breast and cervical cancer screenings, care and treatment for low-income Jefferson County residents. Door prizes and raffle winners will be named at the wrap-up party.

The Girls’ Night Out Raffle prizes will feature gift certificates, gifts and experiences with multiple baskets valued at more than $500 each. Raffle proceeds benefit the Port Townsend Main Street Program. Raffle tickets, which will cost $10 each, will be sold at the Cotton Building during the event.

Girls’ Night Out is presented by the Port Townsend Main Street Program Promotion Committee and sponsored by Jefferson Healthcare, Kitsap Bank, Holley Carlson and Staci Matthes of Coldwell Banker Best Homes, Port Townsend and local businesses.

Event updates will be posted at ptmainstreet.org, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
