PORT ANGELES — Ghostlight Productions, Olympic Theatre Arts and Port Angeles Community Players will present “Olympic Stages Showcase: An Evening of Community Theater” at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
The production will be in the Donna M. Morris Theater at Field Arts & Events Hall, 201 W. Front St., Port Angeles.
The public is invited to “Pay What Makes You Happy” when they attend. Proceeds will be split between the three production companies and Field Hall.
The showcase will preview the upcoming productions for each of the three companies and provide highlights from recent productions.
Attendees are welcome to show up early for behind-the-scenes theater experiences beginning at 6 p.m.
“This event is not only a showcase of talent but also of the strong community bonds we share in the arts,” said Mark Lorentzen, artistic director of Ghostlight Productions. “When our organizations collaborate, we create something even greater than the sum of our parts. We can’t wait to share the stage and remind our community how much we can accomplish together.”
Ghostlight Productions, which was founded in 2015 to bring musical theater to the Peninsula, will finish its 2024 season with a production of Stephen Sondheim’s “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.”
Sweeney Todd will open on Halloween night and run through Nov. 9.

Olympic Theatre Arts in Sequim, will wrap up its production of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest” this weekend.
Upcoming events include Out Loud Story Slam, Imagined Reality improv comedy and a production of “Night of the Living Dead.”

The Port Angeles Community Players’ production of “Almost, Maine” opens this weekend at the playhouse in Port Angeles.

The arts and events hall, which opened in July 2023, will present “Ko Tonga Cheol: Weaving Music in the New Ireland” on Oct. 6, Chilean singer-songwriter Nano Stern on Oct. 8 and Mummenschanz on Oct. 18.
