Taming of the Shrew at Webster’s Wood this weekend

PORT ANGELES — “The Taming of the Shrew,” Shakespeare’s comedy of love in a changing society, is now playing on the newly built stage in the Webster’s Woods meadow at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center.

The outdoor performance is free at the fine arts center at 1203 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

Donations are appreciated for this fifth annual Shakespeare in the Woods production.

Jennifer Horton and Randy Powell star as Kate and Petruchio; Pat Owens, Josh Sutcliffe, Cole Walsh and Breanna Schafer-Murphy are also part of the ensemble.

Show time is 6 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday through Aug. 4.

Patrons are encouraged to come early with picnics, blankets, lawn chairs and warm clothes for the cool evenings.
