Supper and auction to benefit charities at NW Maritime Center

PORT TOWNSEND — The Port Townsend Noon Club Rotary will host a Townsend Bay Wild West Saloon Annual Supper and Auction on Saturday at the Northwest Maritime Center.

The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the maritime center, 431 Water St.

Tickets are $75 each or $600 for a table by calling Susan Whitmire at 360-379-0123 or by going to http://www.ptrcdinnerauction.com/index.html.

The auction is set in a wild west saloon, the “Townsend Bay.”

All proceeds will go to such local causes as the Dove House, Olympic Community Action Programs, Camp Beausite, Ecumenical Christian Helping Hands Organization, Jumping Mouse and others.

The club is encouraging attendees to wear costumes.

This year’s fund-a-cause will go to upgrading the Boiler Room’s kitchen.

The Boiler Room, said the club, is currently feeding up to 700 to 1,000 people a week on a recycled stove. After long use, it only has three burners left working.

To donate an item for the auction, contact Joe Nieuwsma at 424-333-5413 or email rocketmama@verizon.net.
