Summer concert series at Olympic Cellars Winery begins Saturday

PORT ANGELES — The Fat Chance Band will kick off the annual summer concert series at Olympic Cellars Winery at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The series will be at the winery, 255410 U.S. Highway 101.

Tickets are $20 per person, $70 for a season pass to all four concerts, and can be purchased at www.olympiccellars.com/summer-concert-series.

The Fat Chance Band plays hits from the 1960s and ’70s by groups like The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, The Byrds, Beach Boys, Carole King, America, Buffalo Springfield, The Mamas and the Papas, The Doors, The Monkees, The Association, Jackson Browne, Carly Simon, Neil Young, Linda Ronstadt, CSNY and Joni Mitchell as well as their original compositions.

Each concert in the series benefits a local nonprofit organization; the Fat Chance Band has selected the Feiro Marine Science Center as its beneficiary.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the winery suggests arriving early for the best seating.

Attendees should dress for the weather and bring warm clothing. The concerts will continue rain or shine.

A food truck will be on site for each show. Concertgoers also may bring their own food and non-alcoholic drinks.

Patrons are not allowed to bring outside alcohol or drink alcoholic beverages in line.

Dogs are not allowed and, while the venue is family friendly, about 98 percent of the guests are adults.

The other performers in the series are:

• Sway, July 27, benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Clallam County.

• Good Day Sunshine, Aug. 10, benefiting Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

• Eden, Aug. 17, benefiting the Welfare for Animal Guild.
